After the success of DJ D-Tox’s secret Sunday takeover of the Shebeen at last year’s Wilkswood Reggae Festival , it only made sense to invite him back, but this year bigger and badder than ever with his label Box Fulla Records and a strictly vinyl headline set from the badman from Bristol, Mr DJ Breakneck.
DJ Breakneck nationally and internationally made a name for himself on the early noughties Drum & Bass scene with his Jump-up anthem ‘Heavy Drinker’. Over that decade he had many releases on various labels but he started DJing right back in the early 90’s and has a record collection that no man can test. In recent years Breakneck has stepped back from the scene turning down numerous bookings to focus on family and select studio projects. Box Fulla Records is very humbled and honoured that he has chosen to come on board with the label to work on forthcoming material and our digital mastering.
Breakneck is taking it back to the roots for his Box Fulla DJ sets, expect strictly vinyl, high energy and a whole heap of dubplates of rare unreleased 90’s gems. Definitely not a set to miss.
Box Fulla Records was founded in 2016 by DJ D-tox and is Reggae and Soundsystem culture inspired record label, event organiser and promotional distributor, focusing on the foundations as well as future sounds of Jungle and Drum & Bass music. Delving into Jungle’s mixed, multi-cultural heritage in a 3 hour takeover on the Sunday in the late night Shebeen.
